My Services

Ghostwriting

Everybody’s got a book in them. It’s a huge cliche, but it’s true. I want to help get yours out there. It might just be an idea at the moment. Or you might have started plotting it out. Or perhaps you’ve already written 30,000 words before getting stuck. I’m here to help.

I have professional experience collaborating on books on a wide range of subjects, so no matter what your idea, I want to hear it. I can either help you through your own writing process or I can take your ideas and get them down on paper. If you’ve got a great idea, I can turn it into a compelling book.

Copywriting

The right creative copy—whether in print or online—is the most effective way to grab attention. But creating quality content can be difficult and frustrating. You know exactly what you want to say, it’s all there in your head, but when you actually get it down, it doesn’t sound quite right.

I can help you find your voice and express your ideas in an original, compelling way. And because my background is in journalism, attention to detail and speed of delivery are second nature to me.

Speechwriting

Only about one in 10 people enjoy public speaking. For the other 90 percent, it’s something that, at the very least, they’d rather not have to do. But it’s possible to make it easier, even enjoyable. The key to successful public speaking is good writing, a little preparation, and, perhaps most crucially, authenticity.

If you’ve got a good script you’re happy with, the whole thing becomes much more straightforward. So whether you’re presenting to work colleagues at an important meeting, speaking at a society get together, or toasting the bride and groom at a wedding, I can help. Working in collaboration, we’ll guarantee what you deliver on the day is perfect, for both you and your audience.

Coaching

Writing, for most of us, is a craft, not an art. It’s functional. It’s emails and presentations and job applications. It’s not Hemingway. But it remains hugely beneficial to be a confident writer. It’s one of the primary ways in which we communicate, both at home and at work. And it’s very possible to become a more confident, better writer. All it takes is encouragement and guidance.

So if puting pen to paper (or fingertips to keyboard) is a chore for you, or you think you could benefit from honing your craft, please get in touch. Not everyone can be Hemingway. But everyone has it in them to write well. It’s just that sometimes a little coaxing is needed.

Proofing

Writing is unavoidably personal. When you put something out there you want others to read and be impressed by, it can feel exposing. You want it to be in the best shape it possibly can be. And one of the most effective ways of ensuring this is to engage the services of a professional proofreader (i.e. me).

Think of me as your mirror. Your way of checking that nothing is out of place. For anything from an email to an essays to a dissertation to a books, I’ll go through it with a fine-tooth comb and remove any blemishes.

Collaborating

The services outlined above are not exhaustive. If you need help with a writing project, want to collaborate on an idea, or need help with additional research please do get in touch. I’d love to talk through your work and see how I can help.
